The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Denver Broncos meet Sunday in NFL action from Empower Field at Mile High. Here’s a Denver Broncos vs Pittsburgh Steelers prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Broncos vs Steelers pick.

Pittsburgh Steelers Betting Preview

The Steelers didn’t have any luck in the preseason matchups this year, for whatever that’s worth. Pittsburgh lost to the Houston Texans 20-12 in the opener, then fell to the Bills 9-3. The Steelers scoring was a little better in the exhibition finale, a 24-17 loss to the Lions.

In their Week 1 matchup versus the Atlanta Falcons, the Steelers were down 10-9 going into the second half. Pittsburgh posted a 9-0 run from there to bag the victory 18-10. QB Justin Fields had 156 yards on 17-of-23 passing. George Pickens added six catches for 85 yards to pace the receivers.

Denver Broncos Betting Preview

Over on the Broncos’ side, they conversely looked quite good in the preseason matchups. Denver beat the Colts 34-30 in the opener and the Packers 27-2 in Game two. The Broncos would finish up with a 38-12 blowout win over the Cardinals in the finale.

Matched up against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, the Broncos held a 13-9 edge in the locker room. Denver was outscored 17-7 in the second half however, and lost 26-20 in the end. Bo Nix threw for 138 yards and a pair of interceptions. Nix also led the rush with five carries for 35 yards and a score.

Denver Broncos vs Pittsburgh Steelers Prediction

I’ll probably just stay with Pittsburgh here. The Steelers shut down Atlanta’s offense quite well in the opener. Pittsburgh gave up just 226 yards (137 passing) and a 2-of-9 success rate on third-down tries while bagging three takeaways. Offensively the team was steady if uninspiring, notching 270 yards and an 8-of-17 rate on thirds. The only real blemish was the nine penalties for 60 yards.

As for Denver, they played decently in the first half against Seattle but ultimately crumbled. The Broncos would post 231 total yards (132 passing), three turnovers and eight penalties along the way. Denver should play better at home but I like the Steelers to come away with the cover in the end.

Andrew's Free Pick: Pittsburgh Steelers -3
