Day Four Wimbledon Tennis Picks, Odds & Best Bet | Pickswise

There has been so much rain at Wimbledon during the first week that I still have outstanding bets for Day 2 and Day 3 even though we are heading into Day 4. That’s right; unless you have been playing on the show courts under a roof (like Novak Djokovic and Iga Swiatek, just to name a couple) you are probably a day behind schedule and maybe even 2.

There is some good news, however – at least there is for me. I compiled a 3-0 record with my best bets on Day 1 and now set at 4-1 overall through 3 days (with multiple plays still to be decided, as mentioned above). Now it’s time for my Thursday picks, and also be sure to check out my best outright bets on both the men’s and women’s sides.

Now you can bet any of our Wimbledon predictions at FanDuel Sportsbook, which has a great new-customer offer to take advantage of. If you sign up for FanDuel right now, you can get 10x your first bet — win or lose — up to $200. So bet $20, win $200! Click here to join FanDuel right now.

Andy Murray -1.5 games over Stefanos Tsitsipas (-110)

It would be nice if Murray was the favorite, but even as a slight underdog he still has good value. That’s right; the 36-year-old Scot ranked #40 in the world has value as a favorite over a 24-year-old who is ranked fifth. Why? Well, Murray is not only playing at home but also playing on grass. The former world #1 is a 2-time Wimbledon champion and he warmed up for this year’s Championships by winning a pair of Challenger titles on the green stuff. On the other hand, grass is Tsitsipas’ worst surface. As if all of that isn’t enough, Murray finished his first-round match on Tuesday and clobbered Ryan Peniston 6-3, 6-0, 6-1 in 2 hours and 1 minute; Tsitsipas played most of his opener on Wednesday and needed a total of three hours and 56 minutes to outlast Dominic Thiem 3-6, 7-6(1), 6-2, 6-7(5), 7-6(10-8). With no days off and having to face Murray in front of the British crowd on Centre Court, this is a rough situation for Tsitsipas.

Francisco Cerundolo ML over Jiri Lehecka (-123)

Speaking of confidence-boosting preparation for Wimbledon, Cerundolo captured the Eastbourne title last week. You may think that was a surprise given that Cerundolo is from Argentine (where players are generally clay-court specialists), but he was already quite capable on grass even prior to that Eastbourne result. The current world #19 played a great match against Rafael Nadal last season at the All-England Club, going down in 4 comPetitive sets. Meanwhile, Lehecka is just 3-5 lifetime on the lawn. This is just another case of a South American being disrespected by the market on grass, so it’s an opportunity that should not be missed.
