In stark contrast to their season last year, in which the Dallas Cowboys went 12-5 in the regular season and 9-0 at home (a 17-game home win streak dating back to 2022), the Cowboys have now fallen to 3-6 and are 4-0 at home in the 2024 season.

Their latest loss came on Sunday to rivals Philadelphia Eagles. It was another miserable 34-6 loss at AT&T Stadium, making the third blowout loss of their four home losses this season. And in fact, it made the Cowboys set an NFL record, but it‘s not one they’d like to hold.

The NFL record the Cowboys wish they didn’t set after loss to Eagles

The Cowboys have actually lost five home games in a row now, dating back to their Wild Card playoff loss to the Green Bay Packers last season, in which they lost 48-32.

Their first home loss this season was a 44-19 blowout to the New Orleans Saints. The second, a 28-25 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, in which a late comeback attempt saved them from a total blowout. The next home loss was a disaster, a 47-9 loss to the Detroit Lions that saw the offense fail to even see the end zone. And the next was Sunday’s 34-6 beating by their divisional rivals, during which they failed again to score a touchdown.

The Cowboys have now trailed by 20 or more points in each of their last five home Games, including that playoff loss to the Packers. That is a first in NFL History.

In their four home losses this season, Dallas has lost by an average of 23.5 points per game. They‘ll have another chance to try to break this trend next week when they host the Houston Texans for Monday Night Football, but with their starting quarterback out for the foreseeable future, the amount of injuries they‘re still dealing with, and one of the worst rushing attacks in the league...the future ain‘t lookin’ bright in Dallas.
