The Texas Rangers and the Chicago White Sox meet Thursday in MLB action from Guaranteed Rate Field. Here’s a Chicago White Sox vs Texas Rangers prediction. This will be the final installment in a three-Game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best White Sox vs Rangers pick.

Texas Rangers Betting Preview

Over the weekend, the Rangers took on the Cleveland Guardians. Texas won the Friday matchup then dropped the next pair. After a suspended Game against the White Sox Tuesday, in the Wednesday opener the Rangers put up a 3-1 win. In the nightcap, Texas managed a tight 4-3 victory. Jack Leiter finished with 4.0 innings and two earned runs in the start.

For the starter role Thursday the Rangers will send out Nathan Eovaldi. This year Eovaldi is 9-7 with a 3.79 ERA in 23 starts. Eovaldi is 88-80 with a 4.08 ERA in 288 Games (269 starts). The Rangers will face the A’s following this series.

Chicago White Sox Betting Preview

Over on the White Sox’ side, they played the Detroit Tigers in their last series. Chicago was swept in those four Games with losses 5-2, 13-4, 9-4 and 6-3. On Wednesday the Sox were out-hit 11-7 in the opener loss. Chicago had 10 hits in the nightcap.

It’ll be Ky Bush in the starting pitcher role for the Sox on Thursday. So far Bush is 0-3 with a 5.60 ERA in four starts during his rookie campaign.

Chicago White Sox vs Texas Rangers Prediction

I’m just going to stay with Texas. The line’s too thick to mess around with, though. Eovaldi is 1-2 in his last three outings but only had one bad appearance during that trio. In his last pair, Eovaldi has six earned in 13.0 innings, and he should be able to handle the Sox hitters. As for Bush, he’s coming off five earned in 3.0 innings versus Detroit but was pitching well before that.

On Wednesday the Rangers did a pretty good job on the mound in the opener and spread the offense out well. In game two Texas trailed in the early going but eventually powered out the win. I’m leaning toward the Rangers to sweep but I’m not touching this one.
