The Boston Red Sox and the Chicago White Sox meet Sunday in MLB action from Guaranteed Rate Field. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this Game. Here’s a Chicago White Sox vs Boston Red Sox Prediction.
Starting Pitching Matchup
The Boston Red Sox will send Zack Kelly to the mound here and Kelly is 0-1 with a 2.04 ERA and 16 strikeouts this season. This will be Kelly’s first career start against the White Sox. Boston Red Sox Recap
The Boston Red Sox come into this one looking to salvage a series split against the Whiet Sox after falling short in Saturday’s matchup by a final score of 6-1. The loss put the Red Sox in a spot to earn a third straight split after splitting with the Braves to start the week and with the Tigers last weekend.
Red Sox Looking For Offensive Consistency
Jarren Duran leads the Red Sox with 70 hits along with 14 stolen bases, 17 doubles, 9 triples and 67 strikeouts and also has 27 RBIs so far this season. Wilyer Abreu has 14 doubles and Ceddanne Rafaela also has a team-leading 37 RBIs while Rafael Devers has 57 hits with 12 doubles, 13 home runs, 32 RBIs and a .284 batting average this season.
Why the Boston Red Sox will win
- The White Sox have lost eight of their last nine day games against American League opponents.
- The Red Sox have won each of their last six Sunday road games.
- The Red Sox have covered the run line in each of their last 12 Sunday road games.

- The White Sox have trailed after 3 innings in each of their last four games against American League opponents that held a losing record.
- The Red Sox have led after 5 innings in each of their last six Sunday road games.
Chicago White Sox Recap
The Chicago White Sox will be looking to pick up the series win, which would be a rare accomplishment for the Pale Hose after Saturday’s win. It would be a welcome sight for Chicago after using this series to snap their 14-Game losing streak with series losses to the Cubs, Brewers and Blue Jays over the last week and a half.
White Sox Starting To Put It Together
Gavin Sheets leads the White Sox with a .246 batting average and a .348 OBP along with a team-high 14 doubles and 27 RBIs while Andrew Vaughn also has 6 homers and 22 RBIs and Andrew Benintendi has 4 home runs and 18 RBIs with Vaughn logging 12 doubles as well as a team-high 48 hits. Chicago White Sox vs Boston Red Sox Prediction
I’m on the over here. I think the White Sox have figured something out offensively and I think they can do some damage against this Red Sox bullpen. However on the other side of the coin, Chris Flexen, despite a solid run of form in his last couple of outings, is still boasting an ERA over five and has been one of the least reliable pitchers in Chicago’s rotation. The White Sox also have one of the worst bullpens in baseball in terms of ERA in the last couple of weeks, so I think runs are coming in bunches here. Give me the over.
