The Milwaukee Brewers and the Chicago Cubs meet Wednesday in MLB action from Wrigley Field. Here’s a Chicago Cubs vs Milwaukee Brewers prediction. This will be the final installment in a three-Game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the Game.

Milwaukee Brewers Betting Preview

Milwaukee played a couple of Games versus the Minnesota Twins over the weekend. The Brewers did well in that pair, winning both 8-4 and 8-7. Milwaukee took a 3-1 loss to the Cubs on Monday, then in Game two the Brewers eked out a 1-0 victory. Starter Colin Rea lasted 5.0 clean frames with four hits and two walks.

As starter for the Brewers in Game three, the team didn’t immediately announce a name.

Chicago Cubs Betting Preview

Over on the Cubs’ side, they played the Arizona Diamondbacks in their last series. Chicago lost the first two Games 5-2 and 3-0 before a 2-1 win Sunday. In Tuesday’s Game the Cubs got 7.1 innings with one earned run from starter Jameson Taillon.

Chicago will send out Justin Steele in the start for game three. So far Steele is 2-4 with a 3.07 ERA in 15 starts. Steele is 26-20 with a 3.25 ERA in 89 career games (78 starts).

Cubs vs Brewers Pick Injury Notes

The Cubs transferred RP Luke Little (lat) to the 60-day IL Monday. CF Cody Bellinger (finger) is still having trouble gripping a baseball.

Chicago Cubs vs Milwaukee Brewers Prediction

I’ll probably take a stab on the Cubs here. Steele does need a bounce-back start, though. In his last start Steele took a loss to the Diamondbacks with five earned on nine hits and two walks in 4.2 frames. Prior to that Steele had just one earned in 16.0 innings over a pair of wins, though.

On Tuesday the Cubs had a very nice pitching performance across the board but couldn’t do much of anything at the plate. Dansby Swanson and Nico Hoerner combined for four of the team’s seven hits. Chicago’s offense needs a major kickstart Wednesday or they’ll be in danger of losing the series.
