Charles Schwab Challenge Round 4 Sunday tee times and pairings
Well, here we are. The final round, Round 4, of the Charles Schwab Challenge gets underway today (Sun 26 May) and it promises to be a great day on the green.
The Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas has seen some superb action until now, however, it was all made irrelevant when the Golfing world was stunned into silence at the announcement of the death of Grayson Murray yesterday.
The 30-year-old, a two-time PGA Tour winner, was pronounced dead yesterday.
‘We mourn Grayson and pray for comfort for his loved ones’
“We were devastated to learn – and are heartbroken to share – that PGA TOUR player Grayson Murray passed away this morning. I am at a loss for words,” PGA TOUR Commissioner Jay Monahan said. “The PGA TOUR is a family, and when you lose a member of your family, you are never the same. We mourn Grayson and pray for comfort for his loved ones.”
Despite the shocking news, the play will continue today, with Monahan saying that he “reached out to Grayson’s parents to offer our deepest condolences, and during that conversation, they asked that we continue with tournament play. They were adamant that Grayson would want us to do so. As difficult as it will be, we want to respect their wishes.”
How things stand: when do Riley and Scheffler tee off?
Davis Riley leads by four at 14 under par, yet he will need to continue his top-tier Game as he’ll be joined in the final pairing by Scottie Scheffler.
A bogey-free 65 on Friday and an impeccable 63 on Saturday propelled him to solo second place after Scheffler began the tournament with a disappointing two-over 72.
Scheffler and Riley will feature together in the last pairing of the afternoon at 1:50 p.m. ET.
