Champions League 2024 quarter-finals and semi-finals draw: Teams, fixtures, dates and pairings
Real Madrid will play against Manchester City in the 2023/24 Champions League quarter-finals, with LaLiga rivals Barcelona drawn to face Paris Saint-Germain. Los Blancos will start their tie at home, while Barça will play their first leg on the road.
In the other two ties, Arsenal will host the first leg of their tie against Bayern Munich, while Atlético Madrid will start with home advantage against Borussia Dortmund.
The draw in Nyon also defined the bracket for the semi-finals. The winners of the Atlético - Dortmund clash will face PSG or Barcelona, while either Arsenal or Bayern will play Madrid or City in the other last-four clash.
Full Champions League quarter-final draw
The first legs of the quarter-final ties will be played on Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 April, with the second legs following on Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 April.
Full Champions League semi-finals draw
The two legs of the semi-finals will take place on Tuesday 30 April / Wednesday 1 May and Tuesday 7 / Wednesday 8 May.
What happens if there’s a tie?
The away goals rule is no longer in play in UEFA comPetitions, which means ties will go to extra time (two periods of 15 minutes) if the teams are level after 180 minutes. If they still cannot be separated, a penalty shootout will follow.
Champions League round of 16 second leg results
Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund posted relatively comfortable home victories this week over Napoli and PSV Eindhoven respectively to progress to the last eight. Both Arsenal and Atlético Madrid overturned first-leg deficits but needed penalties to get back Porto and Inter.
Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain qualified for the quarter-finals a week earlier.
Where and when will the 2023/24 Champions League final be played?
This year’s Champions League final will be played at Wembley Stadium in London, England on Saturday 1 June.
The match will kick off at 3pm ET / 12 pm PT.
This will be the third time the venue has hosted the tournament’s showpiece Game in the Champions League era, with Barcelona defeating Manchester United in 2011 and Bayern Munich beating Borussia Dortmund in 2013.
