Celtics Hater Draymond Green Responds To Their NBA Title

Draymond Green is one of the biggest Boston Celtics haters in the entire NBA. It is definitely a two-way race between him and his best buddy, LeBron James.

For the entirety of this year’s NBA playoffs Green lambasted the Celtics as a not legitimate contender to win the championship. Even in the lead-up to the Finals he suggested that this would be Luka Doncic’s year to finally get a ring.

Obviously, as usual, Green was wrong.

On Thursday Green appeared on his podcast and ate a slice of humble pie.

“For a franchise in the NBA to publicize how much they’re going after Banner 18 is crazy. That’s not standard practice in the NBA. It’s just not,” Green said. “They actually did it. I got nothing but respect for that.”

The Golden State Warriors star didn’t stop there, though.

“And if you can’t respect that…I can respect that, so if you can’t respect that, I’m sorry, but I can’t respect you,” Green said, “because that is the definition on standing on what you speak on. Standing on business. However you want to break it down, that is it.”

Green also revealed that he had spoken to Celtics star Jayson Tatum within the past 24 hours.

“I called him yesterday and he had the trophy, smiling from ear to ear,” Green called.

“And he just holding the trophy. He said to me, ‘I don’t know what I thought this was gonna feel like but whatever I thought it’s way better.’ And the thoughts you have of winning a championship are pretty high.

“And I just called him number one to say congratulations. But number two I said to him, ‘I just need to feel this energy because I know what it’s like.’ When you’re around someone who just won a championship, the vibrations that you catch from them, their frequency level is at an all-time high.”

The Celtics proved a lot of their haters wrong with this particular championship. It just so happens that Green was the most vocal one, so it is nice that he could go on his podcast and eat humble pie in front of everyone.
