Celtic Set to Confirm Five-Year Deal

Celtic are poised to secure the signing of 22-year-old Finnish goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo from Aston Villa on a five-year contract. The move is set to be finalised this week after the two clubs agreed on a fee.

Sinisalo, who has been highly regarded for his potential and performances, is expected to join the Scottish champions for a transfer fee of around £1 million. [Mark Hendry] Negotiations between Celtic and Aston Villa took place over the weekend, leading to a favourable agreement for both parties.

The young goalkeeper is scheduled to undergo a medical, with the official announcement expected shortly thereafter. Kasper Schmeichel will come in as the number one goalkeeper while Sinisalo continues his development with the hope of succeeding the Dane in either 12 or 24 months.
