Catch the 2024 Paris Olympics Live Broadcast for Free

The Leisure & Cultural Services Department (LCSD) is setting up the Olympics Focal Site at designated sports centres all over Hong Kong. Anyone who wants to support the Hong Kong team in the 2024 Paris Olympics live can now do so across the city for free.

Hong Kongers can visit the designated sports centres to watch the 2024 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games live broadcast. The site will be open every day from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. starting July 26 until August 12. It’s all free, so anyone can come to cheer on Hong Kong’s athletes or watch their favourite sport. Visitors can also admire exhibition panels featuring Hong Kong athletes participating in the Olympics.

An exciting launch event on July 26 featuring Hong Kong athletes

On July 26, the LCSD will host a launch event for the Olympics Focal Site initiative. This event falls on the same day as the opening of the 2024 Paris Olympics. During the event, audiences can witness sports demonstrations and listen to Hong Kong athletes share their sports knowledge.

Join the event at Kowloon Park Sports Centre at 5 p.m. If you can’t make it in person, then the launch ceremony will also be broadcast live on the Olympics Focal Site webpage. You can also watch it via the “LCSD Plusss” Facebook page and the LCSD’s Edutainment channel, Vis-à-vis +01.

Experience sports after watching the Olympics live

The LCSD also invites everyone to experience the sports themselves. With the “JC Fit City – Active 8 Olympic Sports is “Live” Experience,” participants can watch the Olympics live and then try out the sport. The campaign is a collaboration between the government body with the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and the InspiringHK Sports Foundation.

Throughout the Games, people can sign up for programmes as part of the campaign. Each 8-hour programme consists of four sessions, where participants can watch the matches at the Olympics Focal Sites and then play the sport. A variety of Sports is available, such as badminton, basketball, table Tennis, and Boxing. More unconventional Sports are also available, such as Taekwondo, breakdancing, and bowls.
