Camila Cabello reveals the real reason she vacationed with Drake after sparking romance rumors

Mixing business with pleasure.

Camila Cabello played coy when asked to confirm whether she has ever dated Drake, but clarified that their recent vacation together was not just for fun.

The “Señorita” singer, 27, said on “Call Her Daddy” Wednesday that she went to Turks and Caicos with the rapper, 37, for “work” before giving a cheeky wink and taking a sip of wine.

“So, it was vacation plus more,” she then admitted before adding, “I love that man. I love him. … We all love him.”

The show’s host, Alex Cooper, then quipped, “The internet really loved him recently,” referencing a viral vide that allegedly showed Drake’s private parts.

Cabello responded with a smirk, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

When pressed further about the romance rumors, the former Fifth Harmony member declined to confirm.

“Have I ever had what? Like, a beautiful, artistic collaboration with him? I may or may not have,” she said.

Cabello then gave further insight into how she and Drake ended up on a vacation together, insisting that first and foremost she considered it “a homies, friends trip.”

The “Havana” singer — who is set to release another solo album soon — said she had been listening to the “One Dance” rapper all throughout her writing process and thought he would really enjoy her new music.

Cabello said she sent Drake a DM on a whim, telling him she’d “love to play” her album for him, and that’s how they ended up on a trip together.

“We hung out, I played him my album, he loved it — and I thought that he would, and I was, like, so excited,” the “Worth It” singer said.

“It was also just such a surreal moment also for me to, like, play Drake my songs. … It’s a dream.”

Cabello then gushed that Drake is “so generous” and “so kind,” and she and Cooper, 29, toasted to “Champagne papi.”

When Cabello and Drake were seen spending time together in the Caribbean, videos of them riding jet-skis surfaced online.

Fans appeared to notice the connection between the two, with one person commenting via X at the time, “That smile means he digs her vibe, could this be love in the air? Time will tell.”

Drake has not been in a serious public relationship for some time, and Cabello, for her part, broke up with her longtime love Shawn Mendes in November 2021. She then briefly dated tech entrepreneur Austin Kevitch.

However, the “Never Be the Same” singer confirmed on “Call Her Daddy” that she is currently single.
