Caitlyn Jenner sends scathing message to OJ Simpson after his death: ‘Good riddance’
Caitlyn Jenner didn’t mince words upon hearing about OJ Simpson’s death from cancer.
“Good Riddance #OJSimpson,” the famed Olympian wrote on X Thursday.
Jenner and the famed NFL athlete were friends decades ago, but their rapport ended following Simpson’s arrest for the murders of his late wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman.
In her memoir, “The Secrets of My Life,” Jenner wrote about the famed OJ trial and claimed the late Robert Kardashian Sr., who served as one of Simpson’s defense attorneys during the proceedings, suggested that he believed the running back committed the crimes.
“‘I would’ve been OK with it if they had gotten him in the first trial,'” Jenner claimed Kardashian told her. “The implication was obvious that he believed OJ was guilty.
“I believe [Simpson] got away with two savage murders.”
The Buffalo Bills and San Francisco 49ers player was ultimately acquitted of both murders, though he was later found responsible for Nicole’s death in a civil trial.

The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” alum, 74, never backed down from her claims about “The Juice” being responsible for the duo’s deaths, as she claimed on “Big Brother VIP” that OJ “got away” with murder.
“Obviously he did it, and he got away with it, and at one point he even told Nicole, ‘I’ll kill you and get away with it ’cause I’m OJ Simpson,'” Jenner said, according to an excerpt of the broadcast posted to YouTube in 2021.
The Fox News contributor also told late-night host Jimmy Kimmel that she hadn’t seen OJ since Nicole’s funeral in 1994 and even once banned the Kardashian-Jenner kids from talking about OJ immediately after the not-guilty verdict came in.
“That night the verdict came in, Kourtney and Kimberly were in school and obviously they loved their father — and they should — and they’d been following this for a year and a half,” Jenner — who was married to Kris Jenner from 1991 to 2015 — explained on UK reality series “I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!”
“And when they walked in the door, I think it was Kourtney who said, ‘Well I told you he didn’t do it.’ And I just said to the girls, ‘I don’t want his name ever mentioned in this house again.’”
OJ’s family announced Thursday that the Super Bowl champion succumbed to cancer on Wednesday, April 10, surrounded by his family. He was 76.
The “If I Did It” author had last been seen in public in Las Vegas on Feb. 19.
