Bulls On Verge Of Trading Zach LaVine To 1 Of 3 Teams
The Chicago Bulls have been trying to trade Zach LaVine for most of 2024.
Seven months into the year – they look to finally be on the verge of accomplishing that goal.
LaVine, for his part, has taken Chicago’s desperate maneuvering to dump him elsewhere in stride. He has welcomed a trade to any one of four teams, and he has only expressed a desire to avoid playing for one team.
So where does that leave all parties involved?
According to KC Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago, the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors are both interested in adding LaVine.
“I’ve been led to believe that there are two teams that are still at least having conversations with glimmer of hope, however you want to phrase it,” he said.
“I don’t want to be aggregated poorly. I’m just, I’m grasping for the best way to phrase it myself. What I will say is I’ve written the Kings and Warriors and I think those two teams …”
There are two teams still interested in Zach LaVine. Will the Bulls be able to pull off a trade soon?

Sacramento, specifically, is a particularly legit option in Johnson’s estimation.
“And then the Kings just always seem to pop up in conversation,” he continued.
“And I know when Malik Monk signed there, it looked like there wasn’t a landing spot for Zach there, but Harrison Barnes-Kevin Huerter package seems like it’s available for a lot of different scenarios.”
In addition to the Kings and Warriors, the Los Angeles Lakers are another team worth keeping an eye on. They tried desperately to add Klay Thompson this summer and failed. They also whiffed on Jonas Valanciunas. DeMar DeRozan doesn’t seem particularly interested either.
L.A. is making a big push for Lauri Markkanen, but it remains to be seen if their trade offer is even taken seriously.
LaVine may not be the star they wanted to get this offseason, he could also prove to be a decent consolation prize for the Lakers.
Either way, though – LaVine looks to be on the move. Where will he end up when everything is said and done? Time will tell.
