Brendan Rodgers Urges Celtic Players To Get Their “Trophy head on”
With six Games to go in all comPetitions, Celtic remain in the hunt for a league and cup double.
The season has been long, arduous, and at times unenjoyable, but it is finally reaching its climactic end.
The Bhoys have had their issues this campaign but title rivals Rangers dropping five points in their previous two league matches has come as a colossal boost.
The Parkhead faithful, though, weren’t entirely encouraged by their team’s performance in last Saturday’s Scottish Cup semi-final against Aberdeen.
Conceding three goals to a team that languishes in the bottom half of the Premiership was concerning but in cup Football, it is about making it into the next round and that is precisely what the Hoops did.
They have moved on and are now anticipating a critical trip to Dundee in the league tomorrow.
In the race for the title, Sunday’s Game is colossal and ahead of it and the remainder of their matches this season, manager Brendan Rodgers has urged his players to ‘get their trophy heads on’.
He said: [Celtic FC on YouTube] “This is the period where you have to get your trophy head on.
“You get your focus on what it takes to become a champion. The players here are well-versed in that. They understand the mindset, they understand the psychological traits that are needed at this stage.
“Physically you have done a lot of your work and you might have one or two players looking to get back in or up to speed.
“In the main, it is all psychological now and this is the part of the season where this team have been really, really good and this club have been exceptional.”
