The December/January issue of ‘ELLE U.S.’ features co-stars of the brand new HBO series ‘The Idol’, BLACKPINK’s Jennie and Lily-Rose Depp!

Waiting to greet fans and viewers with her first ever acting performance since debut, Jennie opened up about her experiences working on the set of HBO’s ‘The Idol’, as well as about the two unique personas she channels while juggling being a K-Pop idol and an ordinary person.

First, on how she became involved in ‘The Idol’ which is created and produced by Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye, Jennie said, “I’ve been a fan of all his work… We got to meet and talk about the possibilities [of] me being in the show, and it worked out magically.”

Next, Jennie shared what was different about being on the filming set of drama series from her usual work environment on MV sets or pH๏τoshoot sets. She commented, “I guess the people and the environment. I’ve never had to be in a place where I was surrounded by so many people that I’m not familiar with, and especially in a different language. But in terms of creativity, it felt just the same. Acting needed all the creative senses that I would use in a music video or any music or any other thing that I have already been doing. So surprisingly, it didn’t feel too much apart from what I’ve been doing so far, which was good. So I’m just so thankful.”
