Bethenny Frankel claps back at criticism over ‘retail therapy’ outfit: ‘Thoughts and prayers’
Bethenny Frankel unloaded on an internet troll for making fun of her shopping outfit choice.
The “Real Housewives of New York City” alum shared a screenshot of a direct message she received from the brazen netizen responding to Frankel’s Instagram Story selfie this weekend.
The photo showed the Bravolebrity wearing jeans and a denim jacket with a shearling collar layered over a printed sweater and she accessorized with sunglasses and a large brown crossbody bag.
“Retail therapy,” she captioned the snap from inside a store.
The troll didn’t hold back from throwing judgment her way, sliding into her DMs to write, “WTF is that outfit about. Come on B.”
Frankel, 53, typed up a savage response to the hater and shut down the criticism.
“It’s about me putting on what I feel like on a Sunday,” Frankel wrote. “I hope you survive this… thoughts and prayers.
Frankel isn’t one to hold back when it comes to clapping back at her online bullies.

The “Just B” podcast host roasted internet users for making unnecessary comments about the way her 13-year-old daughter Bryn dresses.

“Some people think it’s their Business how I parent and how my daughter dresses,” Frankel said in an Instagram video last month. “I have the most beautiful, thoughtful, caring, loving, spiritual, sensitive, darling, loving, smart human being for a child, and that takes work.”
Frankel threatened that she would go after anyone who spoke badly about her daughter.
“I will come to your house, and I will f—k you up myself,” she said, calling her daughter “nearly perfect.”
“You can criticize my looks, my career, my choices, my words, but the one thing you cannot criticize is my parenting,” Frankel warned. “It is the most important thing to me. I cherish it, and I am on the case.”
Frankel had notably been lambasted for sharing a photo of the teenager wearing a bikini to her Instagram, where she boasts more than 3 million followers, in December 2023.
The SkinnyGirl founder also often shares photos of her daughter wearing crop tops and other trendy outfits.
