Best MLB Player Prop Bets for Today 9/3: Walker Buehler struggles | Pickswise
Postseason baseball is on the horizon. We’re into the final month of the regular season and time is running out for teams to make a move. Tuesday’s MLB slate is a busy one with plenty of exciting matchups, so let’s dive into my 2 best MLB player prop bets today, while you can also find out our MLB picks on the side and total for the matchups on Tuesday, September 3.
Walker Buehler (LAD) over 2.5 earned runs allowed (-110)
Odds available at Bet365 at time of publishing
Walker Buehler’s season could best be described as a rollercoaster. After starting the season in Triple-A in what was expected to be a short stint, the former ace has bounced between the Dodgers and Minors all season. He’s yet to find success at any level — especially in the big leagues. In his 3 starts since being recalled from Triple-A, Buehler has allowed 11 runs, 16 hits and 8 walks in 12 innings against the Brewers, Mariners and Orioles. He’s surrendered a .302 batting average and a .290 xBA along with just a 13% strikeout rate in those 3 starts. He doesn’t seem to be the same pitcher that we’ve become accustomed to seeing, and it’s going to be a real problem for the Dodgers down the stretch. But back to tonight — the Angels might not have the most prolific lineup in baseball right now, but it’s still good enough to tag Buehler for 3 runs.
We recommend using Bet365 to bet on our Walker Buehler player prop, where you’ll get the best odds available and right now new users can INSTANTLY secure $200 in bonus bets from a first wager of just $5 when they click here and join Bet365.
Ryne Nelson (ARI) under 2.5 earned runs allowed (-130)
Odds available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing
I’m staying on the West Coast for my next best MLB player prop of the day. Ryne Nelson has become a star in the Diamondbacks rotation, and more importantly, this prop is on a 4-0 streak. He was originally supposed to be moved to the bullpen when Eduardo Rodriguez returned, but his excellent string of starts has pushed Jordan Montgomery to the arm barn instead. He’s been incredible since the break as he owns a 2.90 ERA with a 1.03 WHIP, and has limited hitters to a .225 batting average with a 27% strikeout rate in that span. Plus, he’s been great against the Giants this season. In 2 appearances against San Francisco in 2024, Nelson has held the Giants to 2 runs and 6 hits in 9.2 innings. Tonight’s start will take place in the pitcher-friendly Oracle Park, so back Nelson to extend this prop to a 5-0 run.
