Best MLB Player Prop Bets for Today 7/2: Kutter Crawford mauls Marlins | Pickswise
After just a 3-Game slate yesterday, every MLB team is back in action today on Tuesday, July 2. The action begins in Cleveland between the White Sox and Guardians and concludes in Los Angeles between the Diamondbacks and Dodgers. I’ve picked out my 2 best MLB player prop bets that I really like, and with our experts on a 7-1 run, here’s hoping our hot streak continues! Let’s break down today’s MLB player prop picks, while you can also see our experts’ MLB picks for each of today’s biggest Games.
Kutter Crawford (BOS) to record a win (+100)
Odds available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.
The Red Sox head to the Sunshine State for their next series and have named Kutter Crawford as the starter for tonight’s Game against the Marlins. It wasn’t surprising to see the Red Sox as decent-sized favorites for tonight, but why pay that price when you can get even-money odds for Crawford to record a win? All that Crawford needs to do to earn the win is pitch at least 5 innings, which he’s done in 14 of his 16 starts this season, and leave the Game with the Sox winning and the bullpen not squandering the lead.
I’m confident in Crawford’s ability on the mound since he’s been elite away from Fenway Park this year with a 2.88 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in 7 starts. As for the Boston offense, they will face Valente Bellozo, a recent call-up from Triple-A. Bellozo had a 5.66 ERA and 1.35 WHIP in 20.2 innings in Triple-A this season. He was allowing a .250 average in Triple-A, which doesn’t give me confidence that he’ll succeed against Jarren Duran, Raffy Devers and Tyler O’Neill. Back Crawford to earn the win in this Red Sox vs Marlins series opener.

Dallas Keuchel (MIL) Under 14.5 outs recorded (-120)
Odds available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing
Somehow and someway, Dallas Keuchel has found his way back into the show. The 36-year-old is once again back on a Major League roster — this time for the Brewers. His first appearance in the big leagues this season was a start against the Rangers last week, and it brought out the old Keuchel. He was shelled for 5 runs, 8 hits and 2 home runs in just 4 innings of work. He only threw 71 pitches, but it was clear that the Brewers weren’t going to let the Rangers get a 3rd time seeing the lefty. For tonight, Keuchel will start in the most hitter-friendly park in baseball as the Brewers look to bounce back from an extra-inning loss last night. But it’s hard to expect Keuchel to complete at least 5 innings, which is what this line is set at. Colorado should jump on Keuchel early and create another long day for the Milwaukee bullpen. Take the under on Keuchel’s outs recorded line.
