Sports fans are rejoiced to have Sports back on Friday after a lackluster Thursday with limited Games. Let’s dive into our best MLB player prop bet for Friday, April 19th, while you can also check out our MLB picks for today’s huge matchups.

Juan Soto (NYY) Over 0.5 Walks (+100)

Line available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.

Join me on this journey of betting on my first walk prop of the season. There’s no better player in baseball to back when it comes to this player prop market. Juan Soto has drawn the most walks in baseball, and he’s well on his way to leading the league in walks for the 5th straight season.

Soto will be matched by southpaw Tyler Alexander of the Tampa Bay Rays, who has solid coMMAnd. There’s a reason we’re getting this prop at even money. But Alexander can’t last the whole Game – especially against this lineup. Alexander will hand the ball off to a Rays bullpen that has walked the most hitters in baseball.

Soto has drawn a walk in 13 of 19 games this season, including five of six at home. Hitting in front of Aaron Judge has not stopped teams from pitching to Soto. Expect another outing of Soto being patient and looking for that free base.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto (LAD) Under 4.5 Hits Allowed (-135)

Line available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.

Please take me back to 7 days ago when we cashed this exact prop on Yoshinobu Yamamoto. He allowed three hits in the first two innings and then shut down an explosive offense in the San Diego Padres that had already seen him earlier in the season.

Yamamoto will face off against the New York Mets offense, which is off to a rocky start against RHP. They’re hitting below .230 and were just shut down by a fellow pitcher they’ve never seen before in Jared Jones. Jones pitched five innings of 1 hit baseball.

Yamamoto seems to be slowly coming into his own after getting roughed up in Korea. He’s stayed under this prop in all four starts. While his coMMAnd can be a slight concern, walks don’t hurt us here.
