Bellingham already following in Cristiano’s footsteps at Real Madrid
Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has announced the release of a documentary that will air on his new YouTube channel. Titled ‘Out of the Floodlights’, the show will be split into four episodes which will air weekly and cover the player’s time at Real Madrid.
Bellingham wrote on social media: Hi everyone, I’ve been recording behind the scenes footage of my journey throughout the last year. Now, I’m finally ready to share my life ‘Out of the Floodlights’ with you all. Starting 12th September, I’ll post four weekly episodes on my new YouTube channel: ‘JudeBellingham’ They’re accessible anytime and free to watch. I hope you enjoy them and don’t forget to subscribe. Link is in my Bio! Jude.
In the video which accompanied the tweet, Bellingham announced that the documentary series will cover his first season at Real Madrid and will include “the highs, the lows, the Champions League, the Euros and everything in between.”
Presumably, the lows will be the smallest section of the documentary: last season, his first in Spain, Bellingham scored 23 goals and got 13 assists in 43 Games played, winning both LaLiga and the Champions League with Los Blancos. He starred for England as they got to the Euros final and narrowly missed out on winning the trophy, with a Mikel Oyarzabal goal sealing the Game for Spain late on.
When Cristiano Ronaldo shoots, he rarely misses (unless it’s a free-kick for Portugal): the former Real Madrid winger, now at Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, recently launched his new YouTube channel, which went straight into the top 50, racking up 50 million followers in just 24 hours. Clearly Team Bellingham have seen the advantages of this and are, quite understandably, adding this particular string to the Birmingham boy’s bow. I’d subscribe to see Jude prepare an apple pie before slotting a penalty past Andriy Lunin. Just an idea.
Jude sat out Real Madrid’s most recent Games, against Real Valldolid, UD Las Palmas and Real Betis, due to an injury which will keep him sidelined for a number of weeks. The midfielder suffered a plantaris muscle injury in his right leg and as a result will be a regular visitor to the Real Madrid physio room for the next few weeks.
