Beerschot Sign Former Celtic Academy Star
Ewan Henderson, once a promising prospect from Celtic’s youth academy, has made an exciting move in his career by joining Belgian side Beerschot. The transfer comes after the midfielder struggled to establish himself as a key player at Hibernian.
Henderson, 24, joined Hibernian in January 2022 with hopes of making a strong impact Easter Road. Despite showing flashes of his potential, Henderson found consistent first-team opportunities hard to come by. Over his tenure at Hibs, he managed to make several appearances but failed to secure a regular starting position under multiple managers.

Henderson’s move to Beerschot represents a fresh start and a chance to reignite his career. Beerschot, comPeting in the Belgian’s top flight, will offer Henderson a new environment and the opportunity to gain valuable playing time. The move is seen as a step to regain his confidence and showcase his abilities on a different stage.
Joining Beerschot presents Henderson with the challenge of adapting to a new league and a different style of play. He will have watched his brother Liam move to Italy and carve out a career for himself, which would have informed his decision.
We wish Ewan all the best in his new adventure.
