No changes for either team at the break. Let's see if there's any stylistic change...

And we're back!

PSG get the second half underway at Allianz Arena.

William Gittins

Bayern Munich impress in first half showing.

We didn't know what to expect from Vincent Kompany ahead of his first season managing an elite team. His Bayern Munich side have impressed in the Bundesliga this year but have struggled a little in the Champions League, where they have come up against teams with similar budgets.

Todays visit of PSG was always going to offer a real test but Kompany's side have passed so far, generating chances and dominating the ball against a talented side. There have been chances on the break for the likes of Ousmane Dembele and Warren Zaire-Emery but it's been a confident performance from Bayern in the opening 45 minutes.

If they can maintain this level for the second half they could be rewarded with a statement result.

William Gittins

Champions League latest scores.

Bayern lead against PSG in our focus game today but there's plenty more elsewhere in the UCL. Here's a look at the halftime scores...

William Gittins

First-ever Champions League goal for Kim Min-Jae.

The Bayern Munich defender hasn't had too much to do so far this evening but was sharp when the ball fell to him in the PSG penalty area.

Halftime: Bayern Munich 1-0 PSG

The hosts lead at the break thanks to a Kim Min-Jae strike late in the first half.

William Gittins
45+2

Late flurry from Bayern to end the half. Sane pounces on the ball again and shoots from 25 yards out but his effort flies well over the PSG crossbar.

William Gittins
45+2

Fabian Ruiz is dispossessed on the edge of his own box and PSG pounce.

First Leroy Sane and then Joshua Kimmich try their luck from range but both shots are rebuffed.

William Gittins
45+1

Lofted ball from PSG finds Hakimi at the back post. He does well to keep the ball in play and work it back to Joao Neves, but his left-footed effort is comfortably saved by Neuer.

William Gittins

We're going to have three minutes of added time at the end of the first half.

William Gittins

PSG enjoying a decent spell of possession to end the first half. Can they muster one last chance before the break?

William Gittins
43

Nuno Mendes does brilliantly to skip away from Bayern defenders on the left, before eventually hitting traffic on the edge of the box.

He manages to turn back and retain possession.

William Gittins
40

Nearly another for Bayern! Coman races onto a long ball forward but his poked effort curls just over the crossbar.

The home crowd is in full voice now.

William Gittins

Kim Min-Jae puts Bayern into the lead.

The PSG players are arguing that there was a foul on Safonov, preventing the keeper from getting to the ball. Officials think otherwise, however, and Bayern are ahead.

William Gittins

GOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAL! Kim Min-Jae

The second corner kick is much better from Kimmich, causing chaos in the penalty box and the ball drops to Min-Jae to  nod home from close range.

William Gittins
37

The corner kick is taken by Kimmich but doesnt beat the first man.

Another corner for the hosts...

William Gittins

Coman glides past Hakimi on the left and pulls the ball back to Kane on the edge of the box. He tries a clipped pass into the on-rushing Musiala but PSG scramble the ball clear.

Bayern corner kick...

William Gittins

Mix-up between Harry Kane and Leroy Sane on the edge of the PSG box. Sane was in acres of space on the right but the Englishman couldn't find him.

Groans around the Allianz Arena.

William Gittins
31

PSG work the ball forward again and find Dembele in the box. He makes some space for a shot but his effort is palmed clear by Neuer.

William Gittins
30

Brave play from Manuel Nueur, shimmying away from Barcola on the edge of his six-yard box.

William Gittins
29

Zaire Emery squanders big chance!

Sharp counter-attack from PSG finds Bradley Barcola racing away down the left flank.

He squares the ball across the face of goal, finding Warren Zaire-Emery in space at the back post. He has time for a shot but miscues his effort and misses the target.

William Gittins
27

Nearly a brilliant goal for Coman!

The Frenchman picks up the ball on the left and glides past three PSG defenders and into the box, before ballooning his effort over the crossbar.

Brilliant work from Coman!

William Gittins
26

Harry Kane is clipped by a PSG defender near the touchline.

The Englishman goes down holding his ankle but he's quickly to his feet again.

William Gittins
25

Laimar is starting to get forward for Bayern on the right flank, pushing Nuno Mendes back.

William Gittins
24

Good spell of possession on the edge of the PSG box but an overly ambitious pass from Kimmich sees the move break down.

The visitors have been diligent in their defensive work so far.

William Gittins
22

It's been a fast-paced game so far, both teams trying to take advantage of every opportunity on the turnover.

William Gittins

Bayern push for an opener.

Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov has supplanted Gianluigi Donnarumma in the PSG starting XI and he's been good value for his place so far. Two sharp stops to deny the hosts.

William Gittins
20

A promising Bayern counter-attack is halted after the ball strikes the referee on the way through to Jamal Musiala. The Bayern players aren't happy but there wasn't much that the official could do there.

William Gittins
19

Bayern Munich win a free kick, 40 yards from the PSG goal on the left.

Kimmich clips a ball to the back post but the assistant's flag is up. Musiala went too soon.

William Gittins
18

Sharp break from Bayern Munich is halted by a uncharacteristically poor touch from Harry Kane on the edge of the PSG box.

William Gittins
17

Kingsley Coman gets into a foot race with Achraf Hakimi on the wing. The PSG defender does well to shield the ball out and even wins a free kick for his team.

Top work from Hakimi.

William Gittins
15

PSG starting to grow in confidence now, enjoying a little more of the ball than they did in the opening ten minutes.

Bayern are finding space down the flanks but PSG's four-man midfield is making life difficult in central areas.

William Gittins
13

Out of possession, it looks like Ousmane Dembele is functioning as the central striker for PSG. His pace and direct running could cause problems for Bayern's high defensive line.

William Gittins
11

Brave play from Manuel Nueur to break the lines and get Bayern on the offensive. Davies plays a clever ball down the line to Coman, who works it across to Sane on the right.

Sane tries to beat Safonov at the near post but the goalkeeper is equal to the effort.

William Gittins

Ten minutes in, both teams will be fairly happy with how this game has started.

Bayern have dominated the ball but PSG have kept them at bay, and even started to pose a threat on the counter-attack.

William Gittins

Bayern defend the corner well but PSG recoup the ball.

William Gittins

First foray forward from PSG finds Demebele racing in behind the Bayern backline. He has space for a shot but drags his effort wide of the target, via a slight deflection. PSG corner.

William Gittins

Safonov denies Musiala!

Slick play from Bayern to find Musiala in space in the box. He strikes it firmly with his right but the PSG goalkeeper makes a sharp save.

William Gittins
6

PSG are struggling to get a hold of the ball in the opening stages. Bayern are denying them the space to play out from the back.

William Gittins
5

Joshua Kimmich curls in a dangerous, dipping delivery and forces a slightly panicked punch away from Matvey Safonov.

William Gittins
4

Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala are almost operating as a striker partnership in the opening stages, swapping positions fluidly.

Coman does well to hassle Zaire-Emery and win Bayern a corner kick.

William Gittins
3

Proactive start from Bayern Munich, who are looking to get the ball into Musiala's feet or out wide quickly.

The ball's worked to Goretzka in the box but he can't make space for a shot.

William Gittins
2

Hectic start with a number of turnovers in the middle of the pitch.

Four central midfielders in this PSG XI, they're looking to dominate the central areas.

Bayern Munich go long from the start, well rebuffed by PSG.

The hosts win it back and come forward again with Alphonso Davies on the left.

Bayern Munich - Paris Saint-Germain team news.

We've just about got time to run through the starting XIs one more time. Here's how the two teams line up up Allianz Arena for this UCL league phase clash.

Bayern Munich starting XI: Neuer; Laimer, Kim, Upamecano, Davies; Kimmich, Goretzka; Coman, Musiala, Sane; Kane.

Paris Saint-Germain starting XI; Ruiz, Dembele, Barcola.

William Gittins

Kim Min-Jae gets the start for Bayern Munich.

The South Korean defender hasn't always impressed since his big-money move from Napoli but he's given the start tonight by Vincent Kompany. He's played in all 11 Bundesliga games for Bayern so far this season, a key part of a defence that has conceded just seven goals in that time.

William Gittins

The teams are out!

There's a huge roar of excitement at Allianz Arena as the players of Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain enter the field.

Kickoff now just five minutes away.

Why isn't Gianluigi DonnaruMMA playing for PSG?

The Italian stopper is frequently ranked as one of the best goalkeepers in the world but Donnarumma has fallen out of favour at PSG in recent weeks.

Head coach Luis Enrique has opted to start Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov again against Bayern Munich.

William Gittins

Kickoff fast approaching at Allianz Arena.

We're now little over ten minutes away from kickoff in Bavaria as Bayern Munich look to lay down a marker against PSG.

William Gittins

Bayern Munich in the house.

It's not been a perfect start to the UCL campaign for Bayern Munich but Vincent Kompany's side are looking to get a statement victory against PSG this evening.

The Bayern head coach explained: “What’s important is how the team lives and improves, how each individual player develops, even though they’re already top players. We don’t differentiate between Games. All Games aren’t easy.”

Can PSG finally win Champions League without Kylian Mbappe?

For years, the spectre of Kylian Mbappe's long-rumoured move to Real Madrid hung over every summer transfer window. Finally, he's made the move to the Spanish capital but PSG have been able to rebuild with a more egalitarian style of play.

Speaking to reporters ahead of tonight's game, head coach Luis Enrique said: "The strength of our team is that we don't depend on just one player."

"So I'm expecting individual development from each of my players, as well as collective development. But so far, I'm satisfied with what I'm seeing. Tomorrow, we'll be brave once again, we'll take risks in defence and we'll attack. If Bayern are better than us, then we'll congratulate them and get back to work."

William Gittins

PSG arrive at the Allianz.

The French champions are in the house, looking to end a three-game losing run in fixtures against Bayern Munich. It's a tough ask though, Bayern have been in impressive form in the Bundesliga and are still unbeaten in domestic competition.

Can Kinsley Coman haunt PSG (again)?

French forward Kingsley Coman starts for Bayern Munich tonight, taking on former team PSG. The Parisian actually came through the ranks at PSG before moving on to Juventus and later Bayern Munich.

Most gallingly of all for PSG, it was Coman who scored the decisive goal for Bayern in their 1-0 Champions League final victory between the two teams in 2020. Will he inflict more pain on PSG tonight?
