The St. Louis Cardinals and the Atlanta Braves meet Sunday in MLB action from Truist Park. Here’s an Atlanta Braves vs St. Louis Cardinals prediction. This will be the final installment in a three-game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the game.

St. Louis Cardinals Betting Preview

Last weekend the Cardinals took on the Chicago Cubs in a rivalry series. St. Louis managed a split in that one, winning both Saturday Games. After an opener rainout, the Cards had another Saturday doubleheader this weekend versus Atlanta. In Game one St. Louis lost 3-2. As for Game two the Cardinals evened it up with a 9-5 win.

It’ll be Miles Mikolas in the starter role for the Cardinals on Sunday. This year MIkolas is 7-8 with a 5.13 ERA in 20 starts. Over 198 career games (170 starts) Mikolas is 61-61 with a 4.06 ERA.

Atlanta Braves Betting Preview

Over on the Braves’ side, they played the San Diego Padres last weekend. Atlanta lost 4-0 on Saturday but otherwise won the series with victories 6-1 and 6-3 in the other pair. On Saturday in Game one versus the Cardinals, the Braves posted a walk-off win in 10 innings. In the nightcap Atlanta was out-hit 14-9 in the loss.

Spencer SchwelleNBAch will take the mound for the start on Sunday. SchwelleNBAch is 3-4 with a 4.43 ERA in the first eight starts of his career this season.

Atlanta Braves vs St. Louis Cardinals Prediction

I’ll stick with the Braves here. SchwelleNBAch finished off June with a spotty loss to the Pirates on 5.0 innings and four earned runs. In the two starts since SchwelleNBAch is 2-0 with just two earned in 13.0 innings, though. As for Mikolas, he’s coming off six earned in 5.1 innings in a loss to the Cubs.

In the Saturday Games the Braves had mixed results to say the least. Atlanta did get some nice offense in the nightcap however, so a little bit of that momentum will serve them well Sunday.
