Arsenal predicted lineup vs Brighton today - Premier League
Arsenal kept their Premier League title charge on track as a much-changed starting XI strolled to a 2-0 victory over Luton Town on Wednesday night.
The Gunners were without star winger Bukayo Saka while manager Mikel Arteta handed partial rests to the likes of Declan Rice, Gabriel Martinelli and Jorginho, all of whom appeared as substitutes against the Hatters.
Saturday brings around a trip to Brighton, whose inconsistency and run in the Europa League has contributed to a slide down to ninth in the top flight.
Here's the starting XI Arteta may deploy for his side's trip to the south coast.
Arsenal predicted lineup vs Brighton (4-3-3)
GK: David Raya - Now has 11 league clean sheets in his debut season at the Emirates, comfortably clear of Bernd Leno, Andre Onana, Jordan Pickford and Ederson who all have eight.
RB: Ben White - Was named on the Premier League's shortlist for its March Player of the Month award, helping Arsenal go unbeaten during the month while contributing a goal and two assists.
CB: William Saliba - Has been dribbled past just five times in league action since the start of last season, the fewest of any player in England's top flight.
CB: Gabriel Magalhaes - Showed his appetite for battling strikers during his duel with Erling Haaland last week and will have in-form Brighton forward Danny Welbeck, formerly of Arsenal, to deal with at the AMEX.
LB: Jakub Kiwior - Took the number of centre-backs on the pitch at the Etihad to a billion - depending on who you ask - and should reclaim the left-back spot from Oleksandr Zinchenko after a midweek rest.
CM: Declan Rice - Appeared from the bench against Luton but his lung-busting recovery runs and improving final-third threat will be needed against an unpredictable Brighton side. The Gunners' victory in the reverse fixture in December was Rice's first win against the Seagulls at the 12th attempt.
CM: Jorginho - Was replaced by Thomas Partey, who says he remains happy at Arsenal despite a troubled campaign, on Wednesday but should come back in at the base of midfield.
CM: Martin Odegaard - Showed a nice connection with Emile Smith Rowe in midweek and remains crucial to his side's hopes of a first league title since 2003/04.
RW: Bukayo Saka - Didn't feature last time out but Arteta expressed confidence that his slight injury worries won't affect Saka, backing the England star for a big end to the season.
ST: Kai Havertz - The Germany international has led the line in recent weeks after spending most of the season in midfield. With three goals and three assists in his last six Games, Havertz is delivering.
LW: Gabriel Martinelli - Made another appearance from the bench against Luton and will hope for his first start since the 6-0 thumping of Sheffield United in early March, where he scored and assisted before injuring his foot.
