KANSAS CITY, MO.: Unicorn Theatre has named Ernie Nolan their new creative director. He’ll assume the position on July 1 forward of manufacturing creative director Cynthia Levin’s retirement.
“I’m thrilled with the result of our nationwide seek for a brand new creative director,” Unicorn’s president of the board of administrators, Sally Everhart, stated in a press release. “Ernie’s creative imaginative and prescient completely aligns with Unicorn Theatre’s, and his management fashion, coupled together with his heat persona, will make sure the theatre stays a hub of creative collaboration and progress in Kansas Metropolis.”
Nolan is a playwright, director, and choreographer who beforehand served because the creative director of Emerald Metropolis Theatre. He has served on the theatre school at DePaul College and will probably be transitioning to Unicorn from his position as the manager creative director of Nashville Kids’s Theatre. In 2007, Nolan choreographer Unicorn’s manufacturing of La Cage Aux Folles. He holds a BFA from the College of Michigan and an MFA from DePaul.
“I can’t wait to hitch Kansas Metropolis’s vibrant and thriving creative group,” Nolan stated in a press release. “Like Unicorn, my profession has been about creating new tales or remixing acquainted tales for modern audiences. I can’t wait to proceed that work at my new creative house.”
