Adam Idah made his second debut for Celtic on Sunday, coming on as a second-half substitute in the club’s 3-1 victory over Hibernian.

It took the entirety of the summer transfer window, but Celtic finally secured the signing of Idah from Norwich City. The Irish striker had impressed during his loan spell in the second half of last season, helping the Scottish champions on their way to a league title.

When Idah stepped onto the pitch for his return, he was met with a rapturous reception from the Celtic supporters, clearly pleased to see him back in the Hoops.

Following the match, Idah took to social media to express his gratitude. He posted: “Thank you all so much for the warm welcome! So good to be back & come away with the W!”

The match itself saw Celtic progress to the quarter-finals of the Scottish League Cup, thanks to two goals from Daizen Maeda and another from Nikolas Kuhn. Hibernian struggled to contain Celtic’s attack, and despite a goal to make it 2-1 in the first half, the result was never in doubt. Celtic will now face Falkirk at home in the next round, with the Bhoys looking to continue their quest for domestic silverware.
