A happy mother welcomes the birth of four children after years of trying to conceive and waiting with a huge belly
The birth of a child is undoubtedly one of the most inspiring and magnificent events a person can go through. However, for some women, the mere thought of childbirth can cause severe emotional distress.
This was the situation for Morales Osna and her husband, Isaac, a couple who had been trying to conceive since their teenage years. Nevertheless, sometimes happy surprises come in greater abundance than expected. Despite the emotional rollercoaster they went through, they couldn’t have been happier.
Teacher Morales Osna, 30, from California, had been struggling with infertility for three years before finally becoming pregnant. And it wasn’t just a single pregnancy; she was expecting quadruplets. Initially, doctors advised reducing the pregnancy to just two babies to prevent a risky pregnancy, but Morales and Isaac decided against it. As a result, they now have one son and three daughters.
Morales Osna and Isaac had been trying to start a family since 2015. “We’ve always desired children,” Osna said. “We visited all the possible doctors before settling on IVF, and the process was highly successful.” However, during an ultrasound, they discovered they were expecting two babies instead of one. Although doctors recommended reducing the number of embryos, they chose to leave it as it was.
Osna carried her quadruplets until the 34th week of her pregnancy and delivered them via caesarean section. The babies, Marissa, Marcelo, Ivanna, and Isabel, all weighed at least 1.8 kg.
Nine days after giving birth, the joyful family returned home. They had hired a professional nanny as soon as they were released from the hospital. She taught them how to handle the challenges of caring for four babies simultaneously and helped them establish a daily routine.
Osna commented, “The nurse had just started our quadruplets’ routine, so we are now making sure we feed two babies at once.” She added, “They are excellent at expressing their needs by crying when they are hungry or need a diaper change. We go through a lot of laundry every day and change 32 diapers, but it’s all worth it. With our family, which is unquestionably now complete, we could not be happier.”
Now the family even manages to maintain their own blog about raising their four children. Osuna concluded, “Quadruplets are hard, mainly because of the amount of laundry! But we are glad to have the family we dreamed about and hope to inspire others with our example.”
