What is the 2024 NYC Marathon route?

The race itself, as you can see on the above video, passes through the five boroughs of New York City: Starting in Fort Wadsworth, Staten Island, the route crosses the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge into Brooklyn before turning up to Queens.

The route then crosses over into Manhattan and the Bronx before turning back down to finish at West 67th Street in Central Park.

While the New York Marathon comes with a lot of History behind it, it’s actually its neighbour race, the Boston Marathon, which is the oldest in the world. However, that‘s not to take anything away from today’s event, which has a huge level of prestige in the world of athletics and is set to be another stunning show of sport.
