YouTube Premium and YouTube Music arrive in Pakistan
YouTube has introduced YouTube Premium and YouTube Music in Pakistan.
YouTube Premium offers a superior viewing experience without ads, background play, and offline downloads for videos. It also includes YouTube Music Premium, providing ad-free music, background play, and music downloads.
YouTube Music is a dedicated music streaming app with official songs, albums, playlists, artist radio, and a vast catalog of remixes, live performances, covers, and music videos.
Google's Director for Pakistan, Farhan S. Qureshi, expressed excitement about bringing these services to Pakistan, where the creative industry is experiencing rapid growth. Local artists are sharing their content on YouTube, expanding their global faNBAse. The launch of YouTube Music and YouTube Music Premium in Pakistan is seen as a significant opportunity for the nation's music industry.
YouTube Premium starts at Rs479 per month, while YouTube Music Premium is available from Rs299.00 per month. There are also family plans and special student plans available.
EMI Pakistan's Chief Operating Officer, Zeeshan Chaudhry, sees this launch as a significant development for Pakistani music on a global scale. Xulfi, Curator and Producer of Coke Studio Pakistan, also expresses enthusiasm for YouTube Music's arrival, as it will provide new opportunities for musicians and artists to reach a wider audience.
Key features of YouTube Premium include ad-free viewing, background play, and offline access to videos. YouTube Music Premium offers ad-free music, background play, and music downloads.
Eligible users can avail a special introductory offer of 1 month free for YouTube Premium or YouTube Music Premium.
