Kyle Tucker delivered the magic in Baltimore last night as the Astros came back from down 5-0 to win 7-6. Around the league, the Royals upset the Red Sox 9-3, the Tigers blanked the AL Central leading Twins 6-0, the Braves rallied back to win 8-6 in Pittsburgh, and the Yankees got back on track with a 7-1 win in the South Side of Chicago.

Very few pitchers have had the season that Jordan Lyles has had in 2023. The Kansas City starter has a 6.24 ERA paired with a 1.29 WHIP in 21 starts and has been even worse on the road. In 11 starts away from Kauffman Stadium, Lyles is 2-6 with a 7.56 ERA and 1.49 WHIP. Combine his road struggles with the hitter-friendly ballpark of Fenway Park, and you get a lot of runs being scored by the home team. Lyles has been one of the worst starters in baseball this season and there’s no reason to believe that will change on Wednesday against a Red Sox offense that just got Trevor Story back.
