Game 2 of the 2024 NBA Playoffs first-round series between the Denver Nuggets and the LA Lakers was hugely entertaining on the court, with Jamal Murray’s buzzer beater clinching a comeback win for Nikola Jokic and Co, who lead the series 2-0.

Strahinja Jokic seen striking fan in the stands

However, it turns out there was also plenty of drama in the stands, with the NBA and the Denver Police Department investigating an incident involving Jokic’s brothers Strahinja and Nemanja.

Following the conclusion of the Game, a video did the rounds on social media which showed Strahinja Jokic, wearing Nikola’s “Jokic 15″, approaching and shouting at a fan in a row in front of him, before landing a punch.

Brother Nemanja doesn’t appear to have been involved in any physicality but was present as back-up.

Denver Police and NBA to investigate unreported incident

The police told the Associated Press that although “no one has come forward as a victim of this incident, the Department is looking into this incident, is actively working to identify the person in the video who was struck, and encourages anyone who was involved or witnessed this firsthand to contact the Denver Police Department”.

Jokic brothers no strangers to confrontation

The Jokic brothers have been regular fixtures at Nuggets games since Nikola joined the team back in 2015, although they haven’t always been on their best behaviour.

Strahinja faced charges of assault for allegedly choking and pushing a woman in 2019, while the pair set up a Twitter (now X) account in 2021 to threaten then Los Angeles Clippers power forward Marcus Morris, who had got into an altercation with Nikola on court.

And in a match between the Nuggets and the Suns that same year, the siblings were spotted on the touchline getting “animated,” shall we say, after things got heated between the sets of players on court.
