A number of big-name teams are in action at Euro 2024 today, Tuesday 25 June, as two groups reach their conclusion in Germany.

Group D: Netherlands, France, Austria, Poland

In the day’s early kick-offs, the final round of Group D Games is to be played. The Netherlands and France currently occupy the top two spots - and have both now qualified for the last 16. Albania’s defeat to Spain on Monday means the pair are certain to at least be one of the four best third-placed finishers.

The Netherlands take on Austria today in Berlin, knowing that they will be guaranteed a top-two place if they avoid defeat. The Dutch, who lead Group D by virtue of overall goals scored, will win the section as long as they better France’s result against Poland. The Austrians, meanwhile, will earn an automatic last-16 berth if they beat the Netherlands. Three points could even see Ralf Rangick’s men win Group D, but they would also need France to drop points.

The French go to Dortmund to take on Poland, who are bottom of Group D and already out. Les Bleus will finish in the top two if they avoid defeat at Signal Iduna Park, or if Austria draw or lose against the Dutch. To be certain of winning the group, Didier Deschamps’ side must defeat the Poles and hope the Netherlands are unable to beat Austria.

Group D schedule: Tuesday 25 June 2024

12 noon ET: Netherlands vs Austria, Olympiastadion (Berlin) - Fox Sports 1, ViX

12 noon ET: France vs Poland, Signal Iduna Park (Dortmund) - Fox Network, ViX

Who can Group D’s teams face in last 16?

The winners of Group D will earn a last-16 match-up with the second-placed team in Group F, which is Turkey as things stand. Group D’s runners-up will play their counterparts from Group E. At the time of writing that’s Belgium, but the outcome of Group E remains very difficult to predict, as all four teams in the section are tied on three points after two Games. If Group D’s third-placed side qualifies for the knockout stages, they will meet either Group B winners Spain, or the winner of Group E (Romania right now), or the top team in Group C (England as things stand).

Group C: England, Denmark, Slovenia, Serbia

In today’s second round of games, Group C will be sorted out. England lead the way heading to matchday three, and - like the Netherlands and France - have had their last-16 place confirmed by Albania’s loss to Spain. Even if Gareth Southgate’s men slip to third, they already have enough points on the board to go through as one of the best third-placed finishers.

England complete their group stage by facing Slovenia in Cologne, where the Three Lions will guarantee themselves a place in the top two if they avoid defeat. If England win, they are certain to come top. The third-placed Slovenians, meanwhile, can only make sure of knockout-stage qualification with victory at RheinEnergieStadion. Matajz Kek’s men can still win the group, but would need to take three points and hope Denmark don’t win their final Group C Game.

Denmark, who are currently second in the group, are certain to go through with victory over Serbia in Munich. Bottom of Group C as things stand, Serbia can still make the top two - but must win to stand any chance of doing so. They also need England not to lose against Slovenia. A draw against the Danes could earn Serbia a third-placed finish, but a final tally of two points would be unlikely to take Dragan Stojkovic’s team through.

Group C schedule: Tuesday 25 June 2024

3pm ET: England vs Slovenia, RheinEnergieStadion (Cologne) - Fox Network, ViX

3pm ET: Denmark vs Serbia, Allianz Arena (Munich) - Fox Sports 1, ViX

Who can Group C’s teams face in last 16?

The Group C winners will be given a last-16 clash with a third-placed side from Group D, E or F (as of now, that would be one of Austria, Slovakia or the Czech Republic). The group runners-up would progress to a tie with Group A winners Germany. If Group C’s third-placed team reaches the knockouts, they will take on either Group F winners Portugal or the winners of Group E (Romania as things stand).
