Ilia Topuria successfully defended his title at UFC 308, knocking out Max Holloway with a superb left hook that sent the American sprawling to the deck. And one of the first to come out to congratulate the Spanish-Georgian fighters was his girlfriend, Giorgina Uzcategui.
Who is Giorgina Uzcategui, Topuria’s girlfriend?
Giorgina Uzcategui Badell, to give her her full name, is not just Topuria’s girlfriend, she also the mother to their two children, a son born in 2019 and a daughter born this year.
She is Businesswoman in her own right, having founded the company Future & Energy, which aims to provide sustainable solutions to improve society. She is based in Alicante with Topuria, and shares some of her experiences on her Instagram account, where she has over 200,000 followers.
Uzcategui is originally from Venezuela, and studied Business Administration at Miami Dade College, before heading to the University of Suffolk in Boston.
Where did Topuria meet his girlfriend?
According to the UFC fighter, he first met the love of his love Giorgina Uzcategui at a dinner, where they soon fell in love. According to Topuria, meeting her was “one of the greatest gifts God has given me”.
