Although most NBA fans are currently transfixed on the ongoing postseason playoffs, others will have already turned their attention next season and the NBA Draft, particularly following the results of the Draft Lottery.

Atlanta Hawks get No. 1 draft pick: who will they select?

The Atlanta Hawks were the big winners on Sunday, with the lottery assigning them the first pick in the draft in a few weeks’ time. The Washington Wizards (No. 2), Houston Rockets (No. 3) and San Antonio Spurs (No. 4) will also likely be happy with how things worked out.

The Hawks will now be expected to land the projected No. 1 pick, widely tipped to be French sensation (for the second year in a row after Victor Wembanyama), Alex Sarr. The 19-year-old center currently plays for the Perth Wildcats in Australia, having previously performed in the Overtime Elite league (for 16-20 year olds) in...Atlanta. Some things are just meant to be.

Another Frenchman, small forward Zaccharie Risacher, has been tipped to get picked up early, as has UConn center Donovan Clingan and Kentucky duo Rob Dillingham, a point guard, and Reed Shepherd, a shooting guard.
