What brand of tennis racket does Carlos Alcaraz use? How much does it cost?
Carlos Alcaraz will continue competing in the major tennis tournaments on the circuit with a Babolat racket, at least until the year 2030. This week it was revealed that Alcaraz and the French racket brand will extend their collaboration for the next seven seasons.
Alcaraz and Babolat: a winning combination
Alcaraz has been using the Babolat brand since he was 10 years old. He signed the contract extension alongside Eric Babolat, the company’s CEO and the great-grandson of the firm’s founder.

Alcaraz is already one of the symbols of Babolat, the racket brand that has also been used by other Tennis legends such as René Lacoste, Arthur Ashe, Bjorn Borg, Pete Sampras, Caroline Wozniacki, and Rafa Nadal, among others.

How much is Alcaraz’s Pure Aero 98 racket?
You can purchase the Pure Aero 98 Unstrung from the official Babolat website. All you need to do is hand over the not-insignificant amount of $279. As the company describes, it ‘is a deadly weapon in the hands of high-performance competitors who play fast, look to move forward, and attack the ball with spin and precision. The combination of a 98 in² head, a thin 21/23/22 beam, and a 16/20 string pattern brings control and precision to the spin-friendly Pure Aero family. A must-try for modern performance players.’
In remarks collected by Babolat, Alcaraz celebrated this extension until the year 2030.
“For over 10 years now, Babolat’s experts have been consistently working closely with me, providing me with the best Tennis equipment for my performance. Playing with my Pure Aero 98, strung with RPM Blast, is much more than having a Tennis racket.
“It means I’m a member of the BABOLAT family, and there are people at BABOLAT who I consider part of my team. They listen carefully to my needs and feedback in a constructive and ongoing two-way relationship. As a result, I’ve always been satisfied with the performance and feel of the frames and strings, and extending this collaboration for the long term makes perfect sense.”
