Warriors Star Stephen Curry Names His ‘Dream’ Teammate
Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is one of the greatest NBA players of all time. He has also had the privilege of playing with some all-time greats like Kevin Durant, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson.
Obviously his relationship with a few of those guys isn’t amazing anymore, but that is what it is.
Curry has also played with some lesser-known names like Jeremy Lin and Jordan Poole.
Basically, he has been exposed to a wide array of talents.
That all being said – Curry still has players on his wish list of big names he wanted to play alongside.
This week he revealed one big one he wished he could have hooped with.
“Tim Duncan,” Curry admitted on his podcast this week, not long after a story about how the San Antonio Spurs legend blew $20 million went viral.
“Like, I saw the tail end of his career, played in one playoff series against him.
“I don’t know Tim that well but coach Kerr mentioned that there’s a lot of similarities between the way I approach you know leadership and developing coaching in the locker room the consistency around and the way that Tim handled his career.”
Curry didn’t stop there, though.
“So he’s obviously one of the greatest power forwards in the history of the league but when you have somebody that one play for the same franchise his whole career again was a guy that no matter at what point in your career you play with him everybody has just amazing things to say about his leadership ability and his ability to lift an organization and a franchise like that for his entire career,” he continued.
“He’s a true champion and a winner. he’s a true champion and a winner. I know a lot goes into that and it’s hard to just put a sound bite to it, but it’d be awesome to play with him.”
Given Curry’s strengths and Duncan’s strengths, the two of them pairing up could have been truly incredible to watch.
