Warriors Star Draymond Green Names His ‘Dream’ Teammate
Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green is one of the most open and honest players in the NBA.
Whereas others are a bit more filtered, Green says what he means and means what he says.
Be it for explaining why he actually wanted Klay Thompson off the Warriors, his honest opinion on the Boston Celtics’ recent title, or his blunt reaction to Thompson putting distance between himself and Stephen Curry, Green is always keeping it real about something or other.
This week Green tackled something of an interesting question – who his ‘dream’ teammate is. Spoiler alert: it’s not Jordan Poole.
According to the Warriors star, it is definitely his Los Angeles Lakers counterpart, LeBron James.

“LeBron, for sure,” Green said without even hesitating.
Recently Green’s teammate, Curry, was asked the same question. He offered a very detailed response.
Curry’s dream teammate was Tim Duncan of the San Antonio Spurs.
“Like, I saw the tail end of his career, played in one playoff series against him,” Curry said.
“I don’t know Tim that well but coach Kerr mentioned that there’s a lot of similarities between the way I approach you know leadership and developing coaching in the locker room the consistency around and the way that Tim handled his career.
“So he’s obviously one of the greatest power forwards in the history of the league but when you have somebody that one play for the same franchise his whole career again was a guy that no matter at what point in your career you play with him everybody has just amazing things to say about his leadership ability and his ability to lift an organization and a franchise like that for his entire career.”
Curry didn’t stop there, though.
“[Duncan] is a true champion and a winner. He’s a true champion and a winner. I know a lot goes into that and it’s hard to just put a sound bite to it, but it’d be awesome to play with him.”
Clearly Curry and Green had the opportunity to play with a lot of legends in their day, but it is definitely interesting to think about what could have been if the latter had the chance to pair up with James and the former balled out with Duncan.
