Verstappen blasts media 'bull****' stories following team orders controversy
Max Verstappen has condemned the reporting of the Red Bull's team orders controversy, claiming the media don't have "the full picture".
The drama surrounding Verstappen's refusal to obey a team order spilled over into Abu Dhabi, when Dutchman again did not elaborate on the reasons behind his decision.
Red Bull released a statement ahead of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix effectively taking responsibility for the situation, whilst condemning abuse directed towards their drivers, and their relatives.
When quizzed on the controversy, Verstappen was critical of the reporting of the incident, along with the abusive messages in the aftermath.
"After that race, I looked very bad in the media, but also they didn't have the clear picture," Verstappen told media, including TheFOXposts.Com.
"To immediately put me down like that is pretty ridiculous to be honest, because they don't know how I work within the team and what the team appreciates about me.
"All the things that I've read are really disgusting and, even more than that, they started attacking my family, they were threatening my sister and my mom, my girlfriend, my dad.
"For me that goes way too far, while you don't even have the facts of what actually was going on, and that definitely has to stop.
"If you have a problem with me, that's fine, but don't go after my family because that's just unacceptable."

Verstappen critical of 'ridiculous', 'bull****' stories.
When asked about his position on helping teammate Sergio Perez to take second place in the Drivers' Championship, he reiterated his desire to help Red Bull take their first Championship 'one-two'.
"Honestly, I have a great relationship with Checo, but I just don't understand [why], when people don't have the full picture, they start attacking me like that.
"I hope one day they actually understand what was going on, because it's just unacceptable behaviour from so many people.
"Also in this paddock, to be honest, it's not only fans, but a lot of people what they have been writing about me is just ridiculous.
"You don't know the real story, so you don't need to write a story. I'm just a bit fed up with all this bullshit just going around all the time.
"I haven't even done anything wrong. It's just people [have] misunderstood what was actually going on."
