The Minnesota Twins and Detroit Tigers face off on Thursday in an MLB showdown at Comerica Park. The Tigers have won two of the first three Games this series.

Twins Continue to Confuse

The Minnesota Twins have been one of the most confusing teams in the MLB so far. After so much success against the Arizona Diamondbacks over the weekend, the Twins pitching has struggled against the Tigers and that has led to the losses. On Wednesday the Twins gave up nine runs and that led to the four run defeat. Joey Gallo hit a home run and that was a bright spot as he has struggled this season. The Twins are averaging 4.44 runs while their pitching is giving up 4.03 runs per Game. Byron Buxton is dealing a hamstring injury and is out for a while. On the mound for the Twins will be Kenta Maeda who sits with a 3-6 record and an ERA of 4.22.

Tigers Offense Getting Hot

The Tigers offense is heating up and over the last two Games they have scored 15 runs total. Spencer Torkelson finished with two hits, three runs, and two RBIs on Wednesday. The Tigers finished with 17 hits and seven runs. The Tigers are averaging 3.92 runs while their pitching is giving up 4.85 runs per Game. The offense is ranked 29th in the league while the pitching is ranked 21st. On the mound for the Tigers will be Reese Olson who sits with a 1-5 record and an ERA of 4.94.

The run support hasn’t always been there this season for Reese Olson and it’s not going to be any different here. Maeda has been lights out heading into this game and the Tigers offense is going to have some major issues getting any type of offense going here. This will be an easy victory for the Twins. Back the Twins -1.5.
