Twin sisters, Natalie and Leanne Paulson, hailing from Branston, Leicester, shared an extraordinary and almost improbable experience when they both gave birth to their first children, just hours apart and in neighboring hospital rooms. What makes this occurrence even more astonishing is that Natalie’s due date was scheduled for a week later, making the timing incredibly unexpected.

These non-identical twin sisters, both employed as care assistants and delivering their babies at Leicester Royal Infirmary, found themselves side by side as they entered labor.

Leanne, who was a week overdue, gave birth to an 8-pound 8-ounce baby boy named Carter at 6:17 PM. Shortly afterward, her sister Natalie welcomed a little girl named Mila-rose at 12:02 AM, weighing 8 pounds 2 ounces.

Natalie, living with her partner, electrician Daniel Morgan, 28, shared her amazement, saying, “Leanne went into labor on my due date. I knew it would be close, but I never imagined we would be in rooms next to each other giving birth. The nurses couldn’t believe it. It was an amazing experience because we’ve always shared everything.”

Leanne, residing with her partner, plumber Robert Walker, 23, chimed in, “I thought I’d be late going into labor but never that we’d go in on the same day.”

Their remarkable bond is further emphasized by their ability to share this unique and touching moment in their lives. Their children will grow up knowing they were born just hours apart, adding to the extraordinary connection between these twin sisters.
