The long-awaited Chicken Shop Date with Andrew Garfield and Amanda Dimoldenberg finally happened and the entire internet is utterly smitten

Move over, Taylor and Travis, because a new OTP is in town. The internet has been waiting for two years for this to happen, and a few days ago, it finally did: Andrew Garfield went on Chicken Shop Date. And much like their previous meetings, Andrew and Amanda Dimoldenberg’s chemistry was out of this world.

The internet has been waiting with bated breath for this episode to drop ever since the show’s socials teased it back on October 14. Now that the glorious yet excruciatingly short 11 minutes are available for all to watch, the internet has exploded with glee.

The tale of Andrew and Amanda’s chemistry goes back to 2022 on the red carPet of the GQ Men of the Year Awards. Andrew had graced the cover of the magazine. Amanda had done numerous red carPets but was more well-known for Chicken Shop Date, a show where she goes on “dates” with numerous celebrities and lightly flirts with them.

Andrew and Amanda’s first meeting may not be on the show but the flirting and chemistry were evident. A year later at the Golden Globes, they met again on the red carPet. The flirting resumed and the chemistry was all the more palpable. At this point, the internet’s shipping of the two reached a fever pitch and unlike the upcoming US elections, everyone was unanimously calling for Andrew to go on Chicken Shop Date. 

It took a year but earlier this October, it was finally revealed that Andrew would come on the show as part of his press tour of his new movie, We Live in Time. The episode finally came out a few days ago and it was everything the internet expected and then some. Everyone is absolutely smitten and kicking their feet at their chemistry, but everyone also bemoaned just how short the episode is despite it being longer than previous episodes. Basically, everyone can’t get enough of Andrew and Amanda.
