The answer to homelessness begins at home – Michael Morse

Give the homeless a home and you will have a person who leaves that home in search of the substances that created the homelessness.

Put the homeless person addicted to intoxicating substances into a treatment facility funded by tax dollars and staffed with well compensated staff and far better compensated administrators for thirty days and wait for a relapse. Even the most popular and effective treatment programs available, for free, Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous boast a 95% rate of relapse.

Peel back the layer of homelessness to find the addiction. Peel back the layers of addiction and you will find mental illness. Peel back the mental illness and you will find the cause; childhood trauma and either the presence of an abusive, weak man or the absence of a strong, caring one.

If the men of the world continue being replaced with government programs they will continue being worthless party boys creating another generation of homeless, addicted and abused people with no skills or clue how to participate in society.

Time to man up. The cavalry isn’t coming. The government is no substitute for fatherhood.
