A Houston Texans fan proved her loyalty to the team this week by pledging to take off her shirt if they won.

She initially made the claim on social media:

After C.J. Stroud and Co. secured a 23-20 victory over a battered version of Josh Allen and the Bills, the fan in question, the fan in question decided to live up to her pledge.

It proved to be the third most popular NFL viral story of the week after Baker Mayfield’s wife’s wild photos leaking out and a Seattle Seahawks cheerleader’s personal photos going viral.

The fan’s photo showing her pay off the bet can be found on her social media account.

Meanwhile, the Texans continue to be something of a powerhouse under Stroud. They are now 4-1 on the year and sit atop the AFC South.

Aside from maybe Patrick Mahomes’ Kansas City Chiefs, no squad has looked stronger than Houston.

In addition to their interesting fan base and strong play, the Texans also found themselves trending this week over a potential new hire.

The New York Jets unceremoniously fired Robert Saleh on Tuesday for a pretty controversial reason.

According to some reports, Houston could now be a landing spot for him.

“Before taking the gig in New York, Saleh was the defensive coordinator with the San Francisco 49ers from 2017 through 2020,” the report read. He also worked with Houston head coach DeMeco Ryans in each of those seasons. Saleh even gave Ryan his first coaching gig when he named him the defensive quality control coach in 2017. Ryans, the runner-up for the 2023 NFL Head Coach of the Year, is 14-8 with a 4-1 record this year. He’s built an excellent roster but there’s room for improvement in one area — run defense.

“Houston is 17th in the NFL in yards surrendered on the ground and 25th in average per attempt. Saleh is a former linebacker’s coach who could join the staff as a consultant. Perhaps his defensive approach could help the Texans find a way to improve in this area.”

Will Saleh go from being on one of the most disappointing teams in the NFL in the Jets to one of the league’s most impressive in the Texans? Time will tell.
