Ten days after release, Cristiano Ronaldo’s YouTube channel breaks Top 50
Cristiano Ronaldo is still big box office and despite being 39-years-old, in the space of just 12 days, his new YouTube channel UR Cristiano has already attracted over 55 million new subscriptions.
The Al-Nassr striker’s channel has cracked the Top 50 of most-subscribed YouTube channels with MrBeast aka James Stephen “Jimmy” Donaldson, a seasoned YouTuber and internet personality still way out in front.
The now well established Businessman, known for his fast-paced and high-production videos featuring elaborate challenges and lucrative giveaways still leading the way with more than 310 million subscribers.
Cristiano Ronaldo is however still the most followed Instagram account in the world with the Portuguese boasting 636 million followers, ahead of Argentine striker Lionel Messi and singer/actress Selena Gomez with Ronaldo also having 112 million followers on X and only time will tell if the Madeira native can catch the American YouTuber.
Since the inception of the UR Cristiano, the striker has uploaded content on a regular basis with the latest video a short conversation with former United colleague Rio Ferdinand as the Portuguese player his reasons for crying at the recent Euro 2024 tournament.
Many of the videos on Ronaldo’s channel are of a more personal nature with the player discussing ‘perfect happiness’, the pressure of being a global icon with his partner Georgina Rodriguez featuring heavily in some of the the videos. The videos are complimented with a series of TikTok style shorts.
