Scheana Shay once posted proof of story detailing John Mayer hookup: She ‘kept receipts’

Scheana Shay once posted a photo of a magazine that shared details of her alleged fling with John Mayer.

In 2018, a Reddit user shared a post that included a screenshot of a Snapchat Story that Shay shared at the time showing a page from a 2009 copy of Star magazine.

The article included a photo of the “Daughters” singer on the top left and a picture of the “Vanderpump Rules” star on the bottom right.

“John’s new gal,” the headline read. “She’s 16 years younger than Jen!”

The headline was referring to Jennifer Aniston, who dated Mayer on and off for a year in 2008.

The accompanying story detailed how Shay, now 38, and Mayer, now 46, hit it off and said she was “just a baby” compared to Aniston, now 55.

“‘Star’ has learned that John is hooking up with aspiring actress, Scheana Marie Jancan, who he met in early April at a Beverly Hills lounge. Scheana, who turns 24 in May, served the sexy singer drinks at The Grand Havana Room — the same place where he celebrates his 31st birthday with Jen! — and John started chatting her up,” the author wrote at the time.

The tabloid claimed Shay was both “shocked and thrilled when John asked her out.”

Shay posted the 2009 spread nine years later and added three laughing emojis to her Snapchat Story, according to the screenshot.

The post has also spread on X after Shay insinuated in a recent episode of “Vanderpump Rules” that she had an orgy with Mayer.

“Scheana kept receipts and shared this 5 years ago #PumpRules,” a fan account captioned a screenshot of the Reddit post Friday.

Shay’s claim about Mayer in last week’s episode of the Bravo reality series was not the first time she talked about their fling.

During an August 2020 episode of the “Flashbacks” podcast, she recalled “working this party” when she ended up “getting wasted” with both Mayer and Aniston.

“Every time they did a shot, they would get me a shot. Then [Aniston] invited me to go back to her place in the Palisades after for an afterparty,” she said at the time.

Shay claimed she did not end up going to the “Friends” star’s house, but Mayer eventually saw her working again and allegedly asked for her phone number.

“I got fired because of it,” she alleged. “[My co-worker] went and looked at the New York member list and found out he wasn’t a member of Beverly Hills, but he was a member of New York, [and] we weren’t allowed to fraternize with members.”

The “Scheananigans” podcast host went on to claim that she was in a “throuple” with Mayer and her rooMMAte at the time, “The Hills” star Stacie Adams.

“We would go to his house in Calabasas or Hidden Hills, whatever it’s called. It just became, you know, kind of the three of us. We had a little throuple going on,” she claimed, confirming it was “sexual.”

Shay did not specify why she and Mayer fizzled out, but she did admit to being “jealous” of Adams because he “liked” her more and the two “continued talking” after she and the Grammy winner were over.

Despite previously talking about her rendezvous with Mayer, Shay sent shockwaves through the Bravoverse last Tuesday when she hinted at having an orgy with him.

“Once upon a time, my body was a wonderland,” she said in a confessional, referring to his hit song “Your Body Is a Wonderland,” after admitting to having an orgy with an “A-list Celebrity.”

Mayer has not addressed the comment, but a source told the US Sun that he is “annoyed” that Shay talked about him on TV.

“John has told several people close to him that he never hooked up with Scheana,” an insider told the outlet.

The source added that the heartthrob “wants nothing to do with her.”

Neither Shay nor Mayer’s reps returned Page Six’s requests for comment.

Mayer has since dated a slew of A-listers — including Taylor Swift and Katy Perry — but he is currently single.

Meanwhile, Shay married Brock Davies in 2022, and they share a 2-year-old daughter named Summer Moon.
