The Minnesota Twins and the San Francisco Giants meet Saturday in MLB action from Oracle Park. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this Game. Here’s a San Francisco Giants vs Minnesota Twins Prediction.

Starting Pitching Matchup

The Minnesota Twins will send out Simeon Woods-Richardson and Woods-Richardson is 3-1 with a 3.48 ERA and 64 strikeouts this season. This will be Woods-Richardson’s first career start against the Giants. The San Francisco Giants will start Hayden Birdsong here and Birdsong is 1-0 with a 4.40 ERA and 15 strikeouts this season. This will be Birdsong’s first career start against the Twins.

Minnesota Twins Recap

The Minnesota Twins come into this one looking to bounce back from a 7-1 loss at the hands of the Giants in Friday’s series opener. The loss put the Twins at risk of having their series win streak snapped after taking down the White Sox, Astros and Tigers in the month of July so far.

Twins Trying To Stay Hot

Willi Castro leads the Twins at the dish with 88 hits including 22 doubles and 5 triples as well as 30 RBIs and 10 stolen bases. Ryan Jeffers has a team-high 14 home runs, 47 RBIs and 17 doubles with a .243 batting average and .326 OBP. Carlos Santana has 12 home runs with 40 RBIs while Carlos Correa has 13 home runs, 47 RBIs and 16 doubles. Jose Miranda has 21 doubles and Castro has a team-high 88 strikeouts so far this season.

Why the Minnesota Twins will win

  • The Giants have lost each of their last seven day games against AL Central opponents following a win.

San Francisco Giants vs Minnesota Twins Prediction

I’m on the Twins here. Minnesota just had a clunker of a Game on Friday, and in a 162-Game season, those are going to happen. The reality is, the Twins have been playing some of the best baseball in the league over the last month, and they’ve been tearing the cover off of the ball against righties over that span. The Giants have a solid lineup and Birdsong will be a nice piece for the future, but for right now, I think the Twins are in the better spot, so I’ll side with Minnesota here.

Chris Ruffolo's Free Pick: Minnesota -105
