Giants at Nationals picks and predictions

Prediction

Giants 7, Reds 4

Moneyline

PASS.

I love the Giants (-196) to win this Game, but I’m not going to bet 2 units to win back 1. I’ll save my wager for the run line.

Run line/Against the spread

BET GIANTS -1.5 (-125).

If you are smart bettor, you always bet against Corbin. The guy has been a gold mine for bettors for more than 3 seasons now, basically since the Nationals won the World Series. The Diamondbacks tattooed him in his last outing for 10 ER which should come at no surprise since he used to pitch in the NL West and those teams know him better than most. In this matchup, Corbin gets another NL West team which will no doubt take him to task. The Giants hit 30 points higher against lefties than righties.

If Webb played for a better team, he’d have a much better record than 8-8. The guy has top-of-the-rotation stuff but has been a hard-luck loser a lot this season.

Over/Under

PASS.

My lean would be the Over because of Corbin being on the mound, but he’s just 3-3 against the Over in his last 6 starts. The Under has hit in 6 of their last 10 meetings. The Giants are 5-5 against the Over in their last 10 games.

There is just no real trend to love to make me want to make this bet. I’ll just keep all my money on that run line.
