THE WATER IS RISING

Back in Noah’s day the world looked pretty much like today. Zero tech, but wrought with crime, deception, disrespect, zero personal accountability, lawlessness, tribal warfare, sexual deviousness, suffering, morality issues, etc., etc…

People just didn’t seem to care about much back then, and many don’t seem to CARE much now, as well. There’s a sense of entitlement people carry that justifies (in their minds) their behavior. Example… I live next to a beautiful spot on the water with wildflowers and trees. It’s city property. My neighbor thinks she has a right to a view.  She lives across the street . So, she sneaks around with her husband cutting everything down (on city property) adding to the erosion issue and taking away the splendor of so much of what’s in back of my house.  It’s mind blowing. She thinks we don’t see her, but we do. I try not to care, as I just rent. One day I’ll be out of here, but there’s millions and millions of people who behave like her daily. It’s a “I want what I want, no matter what the cost, or who else it affects, or what else it affects” attitude. This is the world we live in.

The water is rising.

I see the evening news about senseless or twisted (like REALLY TWISTED) CRIMES happening all OVER THIS COUNTRY…

THE WATER IS RISING.

Noah was a drunk but a faithful servant of God.

He knew the WATER WAS RISING.

People who love God are mocked and castigated daily about their beliefs and are torn to shreds because they won’t cave to a ” WOKENESS” permeating every facet of our culture and Politics right now.

We know THE WATER IS RISING.

My question for you is… will you be ready when the rain starts… because…

It’s definitely on the way.

Till next week my friends,

COOLING ON COOLEY

What a mess. Cooley’s leaving as Head Coach of PC hoops was handled terribly on all levels. The Coach himself, Georgetown, and the Big East.

Cooley fulfilling his obligations on a TV platform on Sunday night was REALLY uncomfortable. I caught him on Ch 12 with Sports Director, Morey Hershgorden. Cooley looked about as pleased to be there as John Wilkes Booth being asked to stick around for the curtain call of OUR AMERICAN COUSIN. Cooley basically said he was still processing his decision. Meantime, his upscale East Greenwich digs were being posted for sale. Pretty quick processing. I’m not denying anyone their opportunity to go for a better situation for themselves and their family… just be up front about it. That interview might have been more entertaining had it been conducted by Pappa GepPetto, just to watch Cooley’s nose grow. Cooley’s salary with the Hoyas is reportedly $6 million annually, double what he was making in Providence. That kind of a deal doesn’t come together in 48 hours.  If you’re a disgruntled PC Friars fan, dig deep and be honest with yourself… wouldn’t you grab that brass ring, too? To me, it’s more an issue as to HOW he reached out for that grab.

DINO-MITE

Roger Williams Park Zoo will welcome the DINOSAURS AMONG US April 7-Auguest 13th. It’s billed as “one of the most extensive outdoor dinosaur exhibits of its kind that will transport visitors 65 million years back in time.” It will feature 60 lifelike sized animatronic dinos that move and roar. Of course, the exhibit will require a separate admission fee with tickets available online on the zoo’s website for $9 bucks each, with an additional dinosaur size online service charge of $5 dollars for each transaction. Years ago, when the Jurassic Park rage first permeated the country, the Park and Zoo brought in a similar exhibit (granted, much less techno than this one) and I remember an “only in Rhode Island moment” I experienced while waiting in line with my wife. A woman in front of us apparently had an epiphany, and turned to her friend saying “you mean they’re NOT real? I want my money back!!’  I weep for the future.
