Saturday 4/1/23:

Rain continues through a good portion of the day as a cold front approaches from the west. There may be a gap in the rain later in the afternoon, and then we’ll have the chance of a thunderstorm mainly in the western part of the state. Southwesterly winds will be howling, gusts towards 40 mph. Morning lows in the upper 40’s rise to the upper 50’s during the afternoon.

A “D” Day!

Sunday 4/2/23:

High pressure builds in behind the cold front, with clear and windy conditions prevailing through the day, gusts up to 30 mph. Cooler temperature-wise as well, daytime highs in the upper 40’s cooling to the low 30’s by evening

John Donnelly was born in Hialeah, Florida and moved back to Rhode Island and settled in Johnston, where he grew up until graduating from Lyndon State College in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. As a child John always wanted to know how air moved, and he ran towards, not away from, thunder and lighting and various other ominous weather phenomena. He returned in 2001 to the old family neighborhood of Elmhurst.
